A hyperlocal grocery app that connects shoppers with nearby stores

An on-demand grocery ordering app built for a Gulf-based retailer, letting shoppers discover and order from stores within a 5km radius.

The Challenge

Our client, a grocery retailer based in the Gulf region, wanted to move beyond a single-warehouse delivery model and instead let shoppers order directly from the grocery stores nearest to them. The core challenge was building a location-aware experience: shoppers needed to instantly see which stores were within a 5km radius, browse store-specific inventory, and check out smoothly — all while giving store owners a simple way to manage their own listings and incoming orders.

What We Built

We designed and built a full ordering app from the ground up, covering both the shopper and store-owner experience.

  • Geolocation-based store discovery within a configurable radius (default 5km)
  • Store-wise product catalogs with live stock and pricing
  • Cart, checkout and order tracking flow built for repeat, everyday use
  • A store owner dashboard to manage inventory, pricing and incoming orders

The Result

The client launched with a working hyperlocal marketplace that lets shoppers order fresh groceries from the stores closest to them instead of a distant central warehouse — and gives local grocery stores an online sales channel of their own. The architecture was built to expand into new neighbourhoods and cities as the client grows.
